the next Michael Jackson
Charice, when I saw you perform 'Note to God' just a couple of months ago, I became a fan instantly with your passionate rendering of the song. and your story as told by Oprah really touched my heart. You really have a way of connecting with your audience that's just a joy to watch.
I have a story to share about my daughter, Kelly, who is 18. She thinks I'm acting a little crazy watching your vidz so much; she hasn't seen them and I don't force them to, of course. She and my 16 year old son are typical teenagers listening to their favorite music on their ipods, so I can't wait for your CD to come out so they can discover you as well. I'm assuming you'll have pop or R&B music that teens can really relate to.
Anyway, I had the chance yesterday to show Kelly (finally) your 1st StarKing appearance, the long 10 minute version. Then we watched your 2d StarKing appearance; then 'Listen/I Will Survive' vid at Mr. Chow's Oscar party. And we watched 'If I Were You' on Little Big Star and 'MacArthur Park' on karaoke home video (just a few of my favs).
Without any prompting from me at all, Kelly says "she's like the next Michael Jackson." This surprised the heck out of me cuz she knew nothing about your MJ invitation or your moonwalk or any of the talk. I asked her "why do you say that?" She said, "because she really knows how to entertain, she's really natural." I was a little stunned by her matter-of-fact assessment after just watching a few videos of you, so I just wanted to share that story with you.
Charice, kids are the hardest critics to please, you probably know, being a kid yourself. They either like your songs or they don't and it'll show in radio air time and downloads when your CD comes out. My kids know you have a great voice, but they're not superfans like I am until you can bring it with the music that they like to hear. Cool music videos help a lot too, and some very hard work.
Beyonce said in a Forbes interview just last month, "I've never met anyone that works harder than me in my industry." After you read the article, you realize it's no accident why she's such a big superstar. I linked it for you below and also her interview on the Ellen show where she talks about being Sasha Fierce, her alterego, when she gets up on stage. I think you could learn a lot from Beyonce's example as you build your career. She's so down-to-earth and a smart business woman.
So good luck, dear Charice. I'm praying for you. God has blessed you this far, maybe he will take it a little bit farther along with your immense talent, of course, and some really hard work. I believe that He will. I believe in you, sweetie.
Love ya,
Eve

keep on!
Hi Charice,I have never followed a PI artist before until now. None has ever caught my attention or even held it for more than 30seconds...until you. Your voice is so powerful and you know how to use it. Don't listen to negative comments. Unfortunately, with fame comes those who would want to bring you down. I fully agree with rolfaliva. Those people who like to criticize will not put food on your table or support your family. Just do what you've been doing. Listen to those who really thinks what's best for you. YOU CANNOT PLEASE EVERYBODY. That's true for everyone. As a fan, I will do my part in supporting you no matter how minimal it is. I have bought both of your PI CD's and had my cousin ship it to me and I bought your NTG single. It is awesome!!!!
I can't wait for your US cd!!! Keep up the great work and you are a blessing to all of us.
Cant wait to see you at BigE on Sept.

Charice Launches Note to God on Oprah

CHARICE launches first single “Note to God” on Oprah’s show May 18, 2009
Once again, “The Little Girl” mesmerized the audience with her magic as she presented her first US single “Note to God”, written by Diane Warren and produced by David Foster, both legends and icons of the music industry. Charice’s personal perception of the song and its meaning is projected right from the start with her posture and facial expression of solemnity, as in the start of a prayer. David Foster’s musical arrangement laid out the background perfectly with a heartbeat like intro. As Charice begins to sing the first note, my attention is mended to her voice and her angelic face. As I struggle to free myself of this hypnosis like magnetism, I wonder how this very young and little girl is able to reach out and touch my very soul so effectively.
The lyrics of the song itself are a heart wrencher which mirrors our soul’s deepest cries and yearnings to The Almighty. Charice’s powerful voice is the sharpest blade robed in compassion that cuts through the toughest defenses of man’s heart and mind as it delivers the message passionately. Charice’s magnificent control of the clear and distinct volleys of the high and low notes perfectly emphasizes the need and urgency of the purpose at hand. Charice’s every move, every stride across the stage, every flick of her hand and change of direction as she addresses each part of the audience is so accurately timed and choreographed that the the essence of the song seems to flow with so much power like a river heading for the falls.
With deep and uncommon empathy, earned only by those familiar with life’s loneliness and desperation, Charice echoes our heart’s prayer with such conviction, it melts our innermost core. From the very depths of her soul, Charice digs out a prolonged climactic ending note, her magical voice disrupts our breath, bringing out our tears and stands us up to offer an ovation she well deserves. The choir, orchestra, special effects people, camera crew and David Foster played their parts impeccably, making this a spectacular debut for Charice’s first single. The cameras even caught glimpses of Oprah who cheered, wowed and desperately tried to hold back her own tears of joy to witness the success of the little girl’s moment.
This was so moving and picture perfect that it left even the song writer herself breathless and at a loss of words, stuttering to try and describe Charice’s fantastic performance. As the frenzy of emotions slowly calmed I could feel the peace and assurance that things would be alright for this little girl. I realized that this magical power of Charice comes from above and there is no other power greater than that.

I can't get enough of you!
Yes, I just can't get enough of Charice! She inspires me and her talent is so rare. I only have all the best wishes for her. She's an inspiration to so many and I hope those who are not yet her supporters will learn sooner what they have been missing out. Thank you God for giving us Charice!
On Freddie's, Boy's, and Kris' comments on your career
Charice, do not fall for this call of national pride it is a veiled deathwish on your career. Where were these people when you are struggling for recognition? They do not put food on your table and money in your bank. Are they going to supply you with pizzas for the rest of your life? Will they buy your mom a house? Will they buy your brother a car? Can they match the opportunity David Foster and Oprah Winprey provided you? Patriotism is always the refuge of a scoundrel. God is now granting your most coveted wishes, do not spoil it by listening to these scoundrels.
BRAVO! BRAVO! God has BLESSED you with an ANGELIC voice!
